Platform setup guide
About 15 minutes. You'll need admin access to your Linear workspace and owner or admin access to the one GitHub repository you want Ordnami to use.
1. Set up Linear
Start on Linear's Free plan: unlimited members, 2 teams and 250 issues. Move to Basic ($10 per user per month, billed yearly) only when you pass 250 issues or need a third team. Business and Enterprise aren't needed for Ordnami.
- Sign up or log in at linear.app/signup and create your workspace.
- Check that you're a workspace Admin in Settings, under Members.
- Stay signed in to Linear. You'll approve the Ordnami connection in step 3.
2. Share only one GitHub repository
Ordnami only needs the repository you choose, not your whole GitHub account. When GitHub asks during step 3:
- Pick the account or organization that owns the repository.
- Under Repository access, choose Only select repositories. Don't choose All repositories.
- Select your one repository, then Install & Authorize.
To change this later, open GitHub Settings, then GitHub Apps, then Ordnami, then Configure. If you're a repository admin but not an organization owner, GitHub may ask your organization owner to approve the install first.
3. Sign up for Ordnami and connect both
- Create your account at ordnami.ai/signup with your work email.
- Open Connections in the left sidebar.
- Next to Linear, select Connect, pick your workspace and approve. Use the Linear admin from step 1.
- Next to GitHub, select Connect and choose Only select repositories, as in step 2. Both should show Connected.
We'll add your teammates for you. Send us their names and work emails.
